So you are reviewing your homeowner’s insurance policy because it has gone up in the last year and you notice a particular coverage called “Other Structures.” What is it? We heard two loud crashes during all of this and a couple of minutes later the wind stopped. We went outside and met our neighbors to assess the damage. We all had the same feeling that this one was different.

The HITECH Act (Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health) went into effect beginning February 2010. Is your business in compliance with the provisions lined out by HITECH, an expansion of HIPPA. HITECH broadens HIPPA's scope in regulating Business Associates, exchange and sharing of health information. Perhaps one of the more significant effects of the Act is the substantial monetary penalty upon confirmation of violation. On top of that, Business Associates involved may also face criminal consequences.

Beyond Price
The Rough Notes Company, Inc.
According to recent updates from large, international brokers, lower rates were available, across all major lines of coverage. While there are a number of reasons for this continued decline, two reasons stand out: intense competition and an over abundance of capacity.
