Guardianship/Custodian Bond

Guardianship is a legal relationship formed between either a person or entity appointed in a will or assignation by the court with minor children or persons who are incapable of managing their inheritance that may include assets and funds.

Guardianship bond can be used interchangeably with custodian bond. It is a guarantee that the guardian will perform his or her fiduciary responsibilities towards the beneficiary as ruled by the court and stated in the will.

This type of bond is expensive by nature. Thanks to its nature, it helps prevent any kind of frivolous custody disagreements amongst various individuals because once the custody is won and awarded, the current legal guardian will most likely have to purchase a custodian/guardianship bond.
